The Big Bird Battle by Megan Furniss

With Covid-19 having us homebound most of the time, this book, "The Big Bird Battle," has become one of our favourites. Ilham can't seem to get enough of the hard hadedas. If everything seemed quiet at the park, well the war would disturb the peace. Birds of a feather flock together! Well, the hadedas and the foul guinea fowls are in battle and boy is this battle of stepping on each others' feathers one for the books...

Every day the birds ruffle each other's feathers until some geese intervene, and that spells excitement

.

This is fun for children, with lots of mention of poo, and kids certainly love that.

Heaps of feathers and fun for the family!!!!

Ilham has been enjoying the read, we have been reading it every night this week, and looks like it is going to be a nightly ritual read.

It is important to get your child into the habit of reading from an early age. Teach your child to love books, enjoy the smell of a new book, and savor the feel of paging through the book. Keep the reading habit going and read your children every night even when they are old enough to read to themselves. Making this reading habit a ritual will assist when your child is older. Take it from me, all children nowadays hate to read...Unless their parents make reading fun for them.
