Handmade by Kona

Name one sauce from your pantry that you use as often as three times per week.... Well, in our household we use mayonnaise often. We use it as a dip for fried chicken, we spread it across our tortilla wrapS and smear it on all of our lunch sandwiches. How can you not write about mayonnaise?
On Sunday  I had the privilege of meeting Konanani Tshilidzi Phandavhudzi who is the owner of a brand called Handmade by Kona mayonnaise. The reason for her visit was to personally deliver her mayonnaise jars which I was so enthusiastic to try out. Konanani was inspired to put her love for food to good use during the lockdown causing her to create mayonnaise which has the look and taste of homemade decadence but has been bottled with love and elegance that makes the entire product seem like it’s store bought. It is clear that considerable thought has been put into each bottle of mayonnaise as well as the packaging. It’s always wonderful when a business owner shows pure dedication to their business and this shows in their product quality.

On Tuesday I put the mayonnaise to the test and made a chicken and mayo sandwich.  The mayonnaise has all the added preservatives to make it long lastingly can be stored out of the fridge for a long while. It is incredibly smooth and creamy. It is the right amount of tangy not in any way being overly sour like certain mayonnaise brands. It glides effortlessly on the bread and is certainly a treat for the tastebuds. I checked the ingredients and they are all kosher as well. I was certainly impressed by everything from the taste to the service. All I have to say is give me Handmade by Kona with everything. Quite amazingly the brand has been growing from strength to strength and has also gained a unique space on the web: https://handmadebykona.co.za/                               Check out the package
