Back in Action- The LCN workshop to note
The month of February flew by and before I even had a chance to breathe March smacked me hard in the face. Good news is March means way less deadlines for me and some time to finally breathe. Since jumping on the freelance marketing bandwagon and blogging for other company's websites, I haven't had a chance to tend to my own blog. So I thought I'd take some time off the freelance monotony and work on speaking to you guys yet again while watching one too many of my favourite old Indian songs on YOUTUBE. You guessed it, I'm home alone and that means....dance party and a date with some of my LCN makeup.
I was introduced to the LCN range of makeup by Sadia from Villa Beaute and until my visit to her beauty salon, I didn't realize how harmful makeup containing parabens could be for your skin. LCN does not contain any acetone, solvents, and acids and follows rules that prohibit testing the products on animals entirely. The company that developed their name from their nail care products, has advanced their range to include all future-forward make-up products.
So Villa Beaute hosted the lovely ladies from LCN to do the make-up workshop for women from all walks of life. The range of ladies present included teachers, students, housewives and make-up enthusiast. A list of daily make-up tools was given to the guests so that they could get familiar with the brushes needed to achieve a flawless finish.
Then safe skin care ingredients, as well as the dangers of chemical preservatives and parabens, were discussed. This got eyeballs rolling as many ladies remain oblivious to the fact that beautifying their faces may actually mean damaging the skin. This discussion proved vital and got ladies excited about trying a skincare brand that would do no harm- guaranteed. The chances of contracting an allergic reaction with LCN is far less too.
All LCN products were used and explained. Current trends like the Halo eye make-up trend was discussed where highlighter plays a huge focus in establishing that ethereal shadowy effect. Goodbye smokey hello Halo! Also discussed was the LCN products paving the way forward in the industry and actually establishing trends.
Here were some added perks for the morning:
The vibe of the workshop was highly informal and guests were free to discuss, mingle and enjoy thels day filled with beauty tools and WOW products. Guests were also invited to test and play around with the vast range of products themselves. Snacks were provided and ladies enjoyed watching make-up demos while sipping on piping hot tea during that rather windy morning.
The LCN team were really helpful and swayed from lady to lady discussing each lady's individual skin concerns and problems. They also assisted in helping ladies select products and colours suitable to individual skin types and complexion.
It was a relaxing atmosphere and discussing a topic we are all passionate about (make-up) automatically made the morning all the more enjoyable. The make-up demos were just an added bonus.
The lucky swans who received face beats looked so sultry and glowy post the LCN magic.
