A NOTEWORTHY HOTEL- CHILL PEPPER BOUTIQUE HOTEL

Last week I learnt that plans change for a reason.  My husband and I had something entirely different planned for the weekend that passed and we ended up back in Nelspruit to review the Chill Pepper Boutique Hotel. Upon our visit to the hotel, I slowly realized that fate had specifically crafted this plan as it was the best option for us. The reason we re-explored this hotel was due to the numerous emails the blog received wanting to know more about the hotel after I did an in-depth review of the Green Pepper Spa (which is based within the hotel) last year. Looks like the teaser of the rooms within the hotel in the post got your endorphins racing and you needed to know more about the rooms and the hotel itself. Needless to say I too was blown away by such a luxurious hotel that is unlike and other. My husband and I too were blown away by our visit and here's just why.....

We were invited to blog about the hotel so we received a complimentary one night stay but the staff members of the hotel were not informed that I was a blogger so they treated us as how they would treat normal guests. Having mentioned this I have to assert that all guests at the hotel are treated royally. From your entrance in the hotel right until you exit you are valued and cared for. We had explored the Sudwala Caves first and had arrived at the hotel all hot, sweaty and worn out at about 2:15 p.m. The usual check in time is 2:00 p.m. The members at reception informed us that due to a later than expected check out, the room was in the final stages of getting ready for our stay. While we waited in the  hotel lobby we were given the rundown of all things important for our stay. We were allowed to sit on the luxurious grey sofas in the lobby where we were served with some cooling juice and had a splendid view of the indoor pool. At 2:25 exactly we were given the card to our room which was on floor 2 room 225. My husband and I laughed as coincidentally we both share the same birthday being the 25th and hence 25 is our lucky number as well. Luck was on our side indeed...

The talking elevator quickly lifted us to floor two which is the topmost floor of the hotel.
The view of the entire hotel can be seen from the balcony of the second floor.
The rooms are painted in varying shades of grey with some white detailing.  Grey in itself is a colour the exudes depth and space so the hotel felt bigger than it was. Grey is also a rather calming colour.

The power of each room only works when the room's card is placed within the card holder in the entrance of the room. This was ideal to avoid unnecessary electricity wastage. It also ensures lights off when guests leave the room.
To the right of the room is an open plan cupboard with ample storage space for guests.
To the left of the room is an open plan bathroom area with two sinks (ideal for a couple like us always fighting for the sink) and a massive shower which can certainly accommodate more than one person at a time ;)

Also fluffy bath towels.... Need I say more?

The toilet, however ,was enclosed in a room opposite the basins. This made me feel comfortable as I am one who enjoys the privacy of being alone in the toilet. I'm not so keen on rooms where the toilet is visible to someone sitting on the bed. So thankfully this was ideal.

The room has a long hanging mirror next to the cupboard. There is also a plasma screen attached to the wall directly opposite the bed with ample DSTV channels (including all the sporting channels). A tea and a coffee station is also located within the room for all day tea and coffee access. This is indeed the best luxury for coffee drinkers like myself.
Towards the far end of the room there is a table with two comfy and stylish chairs surrounding it. With a press of a button the automatic blind lifts to reveal the view of the put put outside section of the hotel as well as a view of the road and Riverside mall which is situated directly opposite the hotel.

My best part of any hotel is most often the luxurious beds that they offer. The bed at Chill Pepper is a fluffy yet comfortable bed with pillows that are the right amount of hard and the right amount of soft so as to allow for the best sleep. I particularly liked the bed because instead of an ordinary headboard each bed has a painting behind it. The painting establishes the theme of the room and each painting is different. There are two sideboards on each side of the bed.

Paper mache dolls are on the pedestal this added a quirky and playful touch to the hotel. On my side was a little paper mache bunny which reminded me of Little Grey Rabbit (which was one of my favourite stories while growing up).
The hotel encompasses modern sophistication and class with whimsical creativity.

The room alone is a splendor on its own and you find yourself enjoying the comfort and class so much that you don't feel like venturing out. Sometimes on holiday you need the escape from home or a home-like feel and Chill Pepper offers that away from home feeling. Class with a twist of modernity is how I would describe room 225.

Aside from the room the outdoor area of the restaurant  also known as the chill lounge is a real treat for couples. There was a couple enjoying a post Valentines Day treat in a heavenly-set table next to us.

Sitting on the outside coaches next to their table allowed us to indulge in some romance and sweet nothings of our. The astroturf  grass below us was decorated with red rose petals signaling that romance is the ultimate gift catered ideally for at this hotel. Icy Mocktails at the restaurant is certainly a delicious treat especially due to Nelspruit's humid nights.
The hotel offers other facilities like the spa, a gym, smoking area, an outdoor deeper pool and a kiddies play area.

The morning following our stay we were treated to a buffet breakfast at the downstairs Salt and Pepper restaurant.
Breakfast included sunny side up eggs, scrambled eggs, white, brown and rye bread. There was also the most delicious and slightly crumbly mini croissants on offer with a selection of butters, jams and cheeses. Mushrooms, tomatoes and bacon was also offered on the side. The feast included various cereals, yogurts and fresh fruits. Juices, lemon water and coffee was also on offer.

Breakfast was scrumptious and the service was excellent. Plates were removed immediately when you were completed with your meal and waiters kept coming back to check if we were fine. My husband said, "If only I could have breakfast like this everyday." I took the hint but refused to acknowledge it because secretly I wished I too could be served breakfast fit for the Gods and Goddesses everyday.

The good news is the Chill Pepper Hotel is running a holiday special meaning the Executive Chill Room which includes breakfast is R 1 290 per room per night and the De Lux Pepper Room is        R1 420 per room per night with breakfast also being included. In stark contrast to the prices of other hotels within Nelspruit this special is relative cheap and more worth your money as the quality of living within the confines of this hotel is unbeatable.

My husband and I have noted this as one of our most pleasurable stays up to date. The richness of hotel decor, the spectacular service, the posh decor, the unique detailing and the quirky additions to each room and each floor made for a stay out of the movies. You know that feeling of getting to live someone else's elite life, well, that is exactly how we felt.

Every room is unique with added elements of wow-ness so don't take my word for it, experience this hotel for yourself.

Elegance meets modernity meets sophistication meets fun meets relaxation meets romance!
