Chilling at Green Pepper Spa

When we took the plunge and decided to drive down to Nelspruit for a friend's wedding. People instinctively resorted to criticize the place, "Nelspruit is a farm town," "Why would you want to holiday there?", "That place is dead!' Needless to say we too seemed slightly disappointed after booking the trip as we too expected it to be one boring trip and not at all worth the long drive.

Nelspruit, like many have said is a quiet little town but the place offers the best relaxation possible. Sometimes a little bit of silence and something different is all you need. This type of adventure was exactly what my husband and I required after a busy year of weddings, functions and much too much events for us to bear. A voucher from the Green Pepper spa located within the Chill Pepper Boutique Hotel came like the cherry on top of our relaxing Nelspruit weekend away. Before we indulge in a discussion of pampering of the best kind let me give you the lowdown of the Chill Pepper Boutique Hotel.

If you looking to venture somewhere different; well then this hotel is the right one for you. In its modern elegance it encompasses the pizzazz that a hotel should encompass. The hotel is made up of 73 rooms and each room has a special unique touch to it. The rooms itself are in a league of their own. Each room spaciously and elegantly arranged complimented by a voguish bathtub and a newfangled shower. The fluffy bed needs not to be forgotten nor the breathtaking view of the city center that can be caught from most rooms.

I was awed at the entire layout of the hotel, the pool at the entrance welcomes guests and is an inviting entrance feature for this noteworthy hotel.  The classy chandeliers that hangs from the high rooftop, the simplicity of the nature-related paintings that adorn the walls and the stylish Coco Cola and Lucky star tin fish pillows that decorate the couches in the hotel lobby all enhance the eccentric feel of the hotel. You cannot help feeling overwhelmed by your need to stay at that hotel.

I could rave all day about the hotel itself but lets head back to the ground floor where the quint Green Pepper Spa is located. The spa offers holiday makers the chance to zone away from hectic life and just enjoy the touch of pampering at its best. The spa is small but its a couples dream. It compliments the style of the hotel being a shade of grey with popping hints of green.

My blog assistant (my husband) joined me for this pampering session. He was treated to a back, neck and shoulder massage while I got my feet soaked and neatened in a pampering pedicure. We spent an hour of blissful luxury at the spa. Yvonne, my therapist, was accommodating and friendly. She kept asking if I was comfortable and if the pressure was perfect. I really enjoy when the therapists consider your pain threshold and work towards meeting your massage or treatment expectations. The pedicure really made a difference to my achingly cracked heels and immediately after the treatment I could see that the soaking and buffing had certainly worked. My husband who had enjoyed a massage came out looking all the more passive and relaxed (more passive than normal). The Green Pepper Spa surely was an appreciated treat to a weekend marked by relaxation at its finest.

It is essential to visit the Green Pepper Spa and feel pampered too if you visiting or living in Nelspruit. Bonus is that hotel guests can experience the pampering from the comfort of their rooms. Now that is a real treat! Aside from pedicures, manicures and massages the spa also offers waxing and stimulating facials.
