kooking korean

After much ranting on and on about my wedding via the blog, I've finally gotten hitched! Honeymoon bliss in Thailand also means trying to find free WiFi and internet cafes to be able to keep my blog up and running while I soak up equal amounts of Thailand sun and rain (monsoon season). Good news since I've been tasting and experiencing all that Asia has to offer I thought I'd take my readers along with me on an Asian culinary extravaganza. Good thing my friends back in SA namely SA Culinary club have my back on bringing Korean cuisine to Johannesburg this weekend. There is much steam to be expected in SA Culinary Club kitchens this weekend as media and press members explore all that the Korean masterclass has to offer in a well organized event hosted by K-FOOD and sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs from Korea. The aim of the evening is to shed awareness of the impeccable flavours brought all the way from Korea by Kokoro in Rivonia. Personally I may just have taken a liking to the diverse flavours that feature in Asian food, although, I still prefer my Indian spices, I'm intrigued to learn how to cook Korean. Since i'm returning home on Friday I look forward to another taste from the Asian side before I put my Asian experience to rest. I am told that I am in for a spectacular treat.

On a more cheerful note, my readers are not in the least bit forgotten as the blog is honoured to giveaway two tickets to to the Korean Urban Affair on Saturday night. The 7th October will see the SA CULINARY CLUB bursting with Korean flavours as they welcome the public for an evening (18:30pm-12:30 am) of food tasting and pumping entertainment.
To win these tickets pop me an email (lailaabramjee@gmail.com of about one to two lines to say why you deserve to attend the event. It's as simple as that!

Time to go spend quality time with my husband (feels weird calling him my husband) but you guys can Eat Korean, Enjoy Korean and Kook Korean.
