EAU THERMALE AVENE
If you are not new to my blog you would know that I started my blog journey by reviewing the EAU THERMALE AVENE range. I can positively say because all my experiences with the brand have been such positive ones, I am slightly biased when it comes to my personal product preferences and my undying love for this brand. Having said that my blogger policy (the invisible one that I've signed numerous times in my head) prevents me from subjectively reviewing these products or any other for that matter. So before you decide to stop reading, following is an accurate description of a few products from this range.
On the past weekend away to Sun City, I chose to take three EAU THERMALE AVENE products to test and inspect. In my suitcase, I packed the EAU THERMALE AVENE HYDRANCE OPTIMAL SERUM, EAU THERMALE AVENE XERA CALM A.D. LIPID REPLENISHING BALM and the EAU THERMALE AVENE XERACALM A.D. LIPID REPLENISHING CLEANSING OIL.
Firstly the EAU THERMALE AVENE HYDRANCE OPTIMAL SERUM is a 22 (+) day morning and evening serum which as the name suggests provides optimal hydration to the surface of the skin. It proved its worth by making my skin feel smoother and somehow more radiant than it had felt before I used EAU THERMALE AVENE products. The Avene water contained in this product allows the skin to feel hydrated for almost the whole day, leaving your skin with a healthy glow. The skin appears visibly smoother and feels calmer, it is believed the miracle water is carried and penetrated right into the epidermis for ultimate hydration. The 30ml bottle pumps easily and readily right down to the last remaining squirt. Personally a plus of this product was that it acted as the perfect face primer creating a smooth canvas to apply makeup which glided on effortlessly onto the moisturizer that had been given 5 minutes to marinate into my skin. I felt I glowed almost from inside out and my face appeared radiant.

When ever I bath anywhere else other than home, I always feel slightly itchy afterwards. This itch may be all in my head but I don't know if other people experience it too especially after that first shower when on holiday. The EAU THERMALE AVENE XERACALM A.D. LIPID REPLENISHING CLEANSING OIL was a good take along. The bottle contained 400ml of the cleansing oil meaning my friend and I could both use the same cleansing oil without it getting finished all too quickly. This award wining daily use oil has been tested to alleviate itchiness and by golly I did not itch after my routine baths. Cer-Omega which is derived from evening primrose and is rich in omega-6 helps restore the skin's epidermal barrier and promotes hydration of the skin. The oily moisturizing cleansing liquid is without any overwhelming fragrance or scent and forms a nice lather. I was quite pleased with the product that took care of my usually itchy skin and reduced the drying effects of the water.
Lastly I used the EAU THERMALE AVENE XERA CALM A.D. LIPID REPLENISHING BALM . The balm can be applied to the face and the body. It is also without too potent a scent and slides on the skin easily acting as a non irritant and calming the skin. It works best when used after cleansing with the cleansing oil as they both work hand in hand to reduce redness of the skin surface and eliminate any dry patches and itchiness. The reason I adored this product is since I suffer with eczema on my upper arms which is always red and itches especially during Summer when I wear sleeveless tops and the eczema affected area is exposed to direct sunlight. After two months of using this product my eczema has been reduced to small patches on my upper arms. It looks less unpleasant than it did before. I'm surprised to have found the product that reduces the itch and the appearance of my bumps. As soon as the redness reappears I know ill be reaching for this balm.
