Luckiest Girl On Valentines!
Happy Valentines Day Dramatic Dolls!!!!!!!
If you are cuddled up all comfy in bed right now, smiling like a cheesecake because of the rather romantic day you had than welcome to the "not-singles" club. However, "All The Single Ladies," if you are so over the love and soppiness that taunted you all day than I have just the cure for you....Read your heart out and see both sides to being the " Luckiest Girl Alive".
Women all over the world are pressurized into having it all and Valentines Day is one day of the year that all the ladies who are without a Mr. Right spoiling them left, right and centre are reminded of how UNLUCKY they really are. Author Jessica Knoll takes the idea of women having it all and puts an exciting spin on the idea of the perfect life and well having it ALL. What if the perfect life is not all that perfect? Maybe having it all and living the perfect life is all a façade.
With the amount of red roses in site today in particular, I have to ask what is a rose without its thorns? Knoll's lead character, Ani FaNelli is just that a rose with her own thorns. Her insightful mind, sharp wit and cheekiness surely gave the book the prick it needed to make the story and Ani's character all the more believable. Sway back and forth on Ani's life journey as she agrees to participate in a documentary which documents previous incidents that she dreadfully experienced as a teenager as well as indulge in Ani's current dream wedding journey to the wealthy Luke Harrison who to me seemed to be the most patient, tolerant and understanding groom ever. With a groom like that Ani surely has it all, right? Yet again I'll pose the analogy of the rose to you dear Dramatic Dolls, there is no rose without thorns and just like a lucky rose with her own thorns, Ani's perfect life image is a mere façade that fades as the story progresses. Ani, like many other girls discovers that perfection comes at a cost.
Indulge in this book and tickle your own fancy girls.....
